“Stories of Courage” continues to move audiences

The third showing of TWI’s “Stories of Courage” took place in April in Southern California, with actors Lisa Cirincione and Tiffany Mualem once again aptly portraying the will and bravery of young Sparks women who carry on despite hardships. Classical flutist Burak Besir and guitarist Dimitris Mahlis enhanced the experience with beautiful music from Anatolia.

“Stories of Courage” is the dramatic reading of stories, told in first person, that portray typical, real-life challenges of Sparks students in Turkey to attend university and persevere in their dreams of working in their chosen professions. They credit TWI’s Sparks Program for instilling the self-confidence, courage, and support it takes to remain steadfast in their resolve.

TWI took this opportunity to thank Mary Tuncer, a founder and Chairman of ESBAS (Aegean Free Zone) for her corporate support of the Sparks Program in Turkey and Sibel Cayir
for being the top individual donor of TWI’s work in the U.S.

Once again, guests were profoundly moved and unanimously agreed that they now understand TWI’s mission much better. They also left with a better appreciation of the critical role women play in moving societies forward.
