Nurcan Ensari, PhD

Biography

Nurcan Ensari is a distinguished professor, researcher, speaker, and consultant specializing in diversity and inclusion, women’s leadership, and career development. With more than 25 years of experience across academia, research, and applied consulting, she brings an interdisciplinary lens to understanding intergroup relations, leadership dynamics, and pathways to personal and professional success. She is the Director of the SPARKS-USA Leadership Development Program for Multicultural Women, a signature initiative empowering immigrant and multicultural women to lead with purpose, confidence, and visibility. As a professor of psychology at Alliant International University, Dr. Ensari has taught and mentored students around the world including in Hong Kong, Turkey, England, Thailand, and South Africa, integrating academic rigor with practical, globally informed insight.

Her research focuses on reducing prejudice, cultivating inclusive cultures, and strengthening constructive conflict resolution, and she has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. As a sought-after speaker and consultant, she delivers research-backed, actionable presentations and supports individuals and organizations in building leadership capacity, enhancing inclusion, and navigating academic or career transitions.
