Stories of Courage
Stories of the women we serve, preserved and presented, remind us what can be achieved when we believe in our dreams and persist.
Stories of Courage are presented in the form of first-person, dramatic readings to live audiences. They portray the true, real-life accounts of women who have overcome cultural challenges in pursuit of dreams for their lives and careers.
Some stories are profiles of Sparks students’ challenges to attend university and work in their chosen professions. They credit the Sparks program with instilling the self-confidence, courage, and the support it takes to remain steadfast in their pursuits.
Additional stories profile courageous women from varied cultures and circumstances who have overcome similar hurdles.
All stories are developed, staged, and presented as inspiration and encouragement to audiences of women – and men – to remain steadfast in their efforts.
