Belgin Damar Lore (MBA) has an extensive Wall Street background in both foreign exchange trading for Mattel as well as in the bond market for 15 years. She has recently retired from a marketing and social media position for a dotcom start-up.
Belgin was first involved with international women’s organizations while she was at graduate school in Washington, DC. She was a debate specialist with The League of Women Voters and a Middle Eastern women’s issues expert. Since then she has volunteered on many women’s fundraising initiatives, increasing awareness of the changing needs of women worldwide. Her commitment to TWI includes her interest in helping Turkish students become well-educated, financially independent and conversationally English proficient.
Belgin was born in Ankara and came to the United States when she was seven. Belgin was educated in the United States with both her undergraduate degree in political science and her MBA in finance from American University in Washington DC.
